Staying Safe on the Slopes

The last thing anyone who loves snow sports wants is to wind up being hauled off the slopes on a stretcher. In order to keep your time on the mountain as safe as possible, it’s important to practice basic snow safety.

Basic safety tips for skiing, snowboarding, snow shoeing, etc., includes wearing the appropriate clothing for the sport. You’ll want clothes that will keep you warm and that will also protect you from injury should you fall. Wearing wrist guards, knee tape and a helmet is also beneficial and highly recommended.

To stay safe, also check your gear before participating in any snow activity. You certainly don’t want to get to the top of the mountain and find out you have a problem with a binding.
